This week we've made some major changes to the creator app

This week’s been focused on iterating on the feedback from our testnet launch and getting our product up to standard for mainnet release.

From small tweaks to bigger design overhauls, we’ve been all hands on deck, and we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to!

Firstly though, let’s just bask in some of these testnet stats, the engagement has been insane:

  • 15,000 wallets connected

  • 600 ETH in fees collected (testnet ofc 🤣)

  • 65,000 transactions

  • Hundreds of pools launched

Did someone say DeFi summer?

Creator Accounts Re-design

The show-stopper this week is our brand new creator accounts design which is now live. Our heavy-hitting front-end lead, Badger, got this done in astonishingly little time.

Functionally, not too much has changed from the token launch experience you were all testing last week—it just looks completely different and we’ve tidied things up a fair bit to provide much better error handling.

One of last week's most frequently reported bugs was users having issues deploying pools. This primarily stemmed from two errors: one which was the overload of the Blast Sepolia testnet RPC, and another which put the app into a weird looping state if you exited the flow mid-way through.

Both errors have been fixed to the extent possible, as we now reset the flow in the case of errors outside of our control (like blockchain traffic).

Please marvel for a second at how beautiful this custom toggle box animation is. It took a bit of time (that we didn’t have if I’m being honest lol) but we think these small details make a big difference.

We're rolling our new creator accounts themeing today, aiming to be at 100% roll-out by next week .

We had an insane amount of users in our community deploying their pools, which prompted us to rush out a new feature which allows for a better experience when browsing through a large number of pools. Of course, we’ll deploy this feature to mainnet as well, which we’re expecting to see some pretty crazy demand for.

Here's a summary of what's been done

  • View all Labs or Launches projects in a single view

  • Search by name, status or token

  • Filter by pool state, like active or upcoming

  • Sort by Trending Most Funded and more

  • Tonnes more sort and filter options coming soon

Prodigo did a banging job with this, what do you think? Reply with your thoughts and your wallet address and we’ll put you in a pool for some more Blast points (and congrats for getting to this easter egg 😉)

Smart Contract Improvements

We’ve done a lot of boring, not-so-sexy stuff to the smart contract this week, including some efficiency improvement to keep gas costs low and speed up transaction speeds.

We’ve also added a couple of new variables that unlock a tonne of functionality for creating tokens:

  • Time delays for liquidity locking

  • Vesting points for token launches

  • Create reflection tokens with buy and sell taxes

We’ll have more on this next week once we plug these smart contracts into our front end, but for now you’ll have to trust us: these improvements are going to offer a lot more flexibility to creators.

Again projects will start rolling out today, building up to full adoption next week

Bugs

The community response to our Bug Bounty programme has been off the chain! We’ve had hundreds of bugs reported and the quality of reports has been fantastic, with nearly all reports containing a video recording or jam.dev link, making it super easy to fix them.

Also check out our public board

This week in numbers

🐞 Bugs outstanding: 57

🔨 Bugs fixed this week: 98 (damn 2 short of the big hunny)

That’s all for this week, see you next Friday
