An update on our roadmap and plans for Q4

Gm Zappers,

Today is going to be a bit slightly different to our usual updates. Instead of listing changes we’ve made to the platform, we’re diving into our roadmap for Q4. As builders in crypto, we have to walk the tightrope between keeping our community filled in on what we are planning, while simultaneously not divulging top secret bits that may be useful to competitors 👀

This update hopefully provides all the context you need. Should anything be unclear, please head to our Discord where our moderators can help!

Strategy

Building a successful company is all about focus. It’s about concentrating resources (in our case developers) on a problem that is not yet currently solved in order to generate revenue from an untapped market.

At ZAP, we are 100% focused on driving revenue to our platform. With revenue comes optionality. The optionality to buy back tokens, the optionality to increase marketing, and the optionality to build out more features. If platform revenue grows, the token grows.

In that spirit, we are 100% focused on our Launch product for next 6 months (at least). While this product is still in a fairly nascent stage, it’s already driven significant volume and generated the first bit of revenue. The big competitor in this space is pump.fun, and without divesting too many juicy details of our differentiation strategy, there is a clear opportunity for tremendous revenue growth. Pump currently brings in around $5m revenue per day, so it’s safe to say memecoin launch platforms have incredible upside.

Now that we’ve clarified the strategy—100% focus on our Launch product in order to drive revenue and token price—let’s take a look at a few features we’ll be working on.

Dynamic Integration

We believe launching memecoins should be for everyone—normies and grizzled veterans of the trenches alike—which is why we’re partnering with Dynamic. This integration will allow anyone to sign in to ZAP (and eventually start trading) without requiring a web3 wallet. This partnership also aligns with some of our web2 go-to-market plans, which we will share more on in the near future.

Dynamic allows people to use any of their socials like Instagram to create an account/sign in on ZAP, never having to go through the process of creating a web3 wallet.

A seamless sign in experience is the first step to creating a seamless experience for web2 users, and we will build on this foundation with additional product updates each week.

Gasless Transactions

While we might be a long way from infinite free power (although recent improvements in genIV MSR Nuclear Reactors may suggest we’re not actually that far off), ZAP can do our bit in reducing your “energy” bill. This quarter we’re rolling out a number of updates that bring your gas cost of interacting with ZAP to zero. This will be done through a combination of features that include batching, tx efficiency, and good old-fashioned gas sponsorship.

Getting to zero gas isn’t just a cost saver, it also makes adoption simpler. Zero gas means users don’t need native tokens in their wallet to cover it, which is often a huge sticking point in the web3 onboarding journey.

Gamification Feature

Just like getting your advent calendar in November, this one is going to be a bit of a tease. We’re going to be taking all aspects of our product, the token, the memecoin trading platform, our airdrops platform and combining them together in a really unique way to gamify the experience of trading memecoins.

Again, sorry we can’t give much away on this for now but it’s all about treading that fine line between building in public and ensuring our IP and ideas remain our IP and ideas.

One More Thing

While this update has been focused on the platform (as explained in the Strategy section) we also made some promises in our compensation plan that are non negotiable for us to stick to. The first of these promises is to increase the rewards we are paying to stakers. This update will be the first of all the feature we release and will be coming at some point next week.

That's all for now

Big love from the ZAP team x
